Walking Birds’ Mountain I & II were collaborations of visual artists and writers for Tread Softly festival.
A group of visual artists and writers trekked across the Ballygawley mountains in County Sligo in 2018 and 2019 with writer and archeologist Padraig Meehan exploring Sliabh Dá Eán, steeped in the mythology of the Cailleach Bhérra. Their week-long collaborations resulted respectively in exhibitions of their visual, vocal and written responses in the Factory Performance Space and the Nest, Sligo, Ireland.
